A wrought 8% tin bronze that has significantly higher tensile strength than CW451K. The alloy meets the requirements of BS EN 12163 CW453K CuSn8 and can also be supplied to BS 2B 24. CW453K is manufactured using Copper Alloy proprietary process technology to achieve a very high tensile strength and coupled with good fatigue properties enable it to be used in high load, high impact bearing applications where good wear characteristics are essential. The alloy can also hold its own in aggressive corrosion environments. The alloy also meets NFL 14-703 CuSn8, DIN 17662/17672 W Nr 2.1030 and JIS H 3270.
