A nickel-free aluminium bronze with 10% aluminium and 3% iron which provides additional strength and acts as a grain refiner. The composition meets the requirements of the British standard BS 1400 AB1 CuAl10Fe3 and the European standard BS EN 1982-2008 GC CC331G CuAl10Fe2-C.The alloy has good abrasion resistance and can be used for slow moving parts under high loads but need adequate lubrication. It is also used in sea water application and has moderate resistance in non-oxidising mineral acids and alkalis, is good with organic acids and boiler feed water. The alloy can also be manufactured to ASTM B 505 C95200, DIN 1714 W Nr 2.0940.03, NF A 53-709 CuAl10Fe3 Y70, JIS H 5121 CAC701 Class 1 and SIS 145710- 5710.
