N05500 (or Nickel K500) is a nickel-copper alloy with additions of iron, manganese, aluminium and titanium.
It is resistant to hydrogen sulphide, making the alloy highly suitable for sour gas applications.
Low corrosion rates in seawater also make N05500 (Nickel K500) suitable for use in marine environments, including sub-sea and above-sea applications.

Due to its low corrosion rates in seawater, N05500 performs incredibly well in marine applications, including in sub-sea and surface ships. It’s also resistant to hydrogen sulphide, making it suitable for sour gas applications.
Yes, N05500 has good weldability. It can be welded using GMAW (MIG), GTAW (TIG), SMAW (manual) and SAW techniques.
