A wrought 5% tin bronze which conforms to BS EN 12163 CW451K. The nominal composition is CuSn5 and can be certified to BS 2874 PB102. Alloy CW451K can be manufactured in the hard temper, which produces high tensile strength and fatigue properties whilst retaining surprisingly good ductility. CW451K also possesses notable corrosion resistance properties and due to its high strength, can be used in high load bearing applications, which are adequately lubricated. The alloy can also be manufactured to ASTM B 139 C51000, ASTM B 103 C51000.
