A French AFNOR aerospace specification for high strength manganese bronze CuZn23Al4.The alloy has lower mechanical and hardness properties than CuZn19Al6 but has greater ductility. It also exhibits good wear properties and corrosion resistance.The alloy also meets DIN 1709.

Key Features

A complex Copper Zinc alloy commonly known as Manganese Bronze with additions of manganese, aluminium and iron to improve the tensile strength and corrosion resistance.

It is one of the highest strength copper zinc alloys and has good wear resistance in bearing applications.

Mechanical – The alloy has high hardness with good bearing and wear properties.
