PB2 is continuous cast tin bronze with a higher tin content than PB1 but is lower in phosphorus content. The full specification title is BS1400 PB2 CuSn11P and it also conforms to the European norm BS EN 1982-2008 CC483K CuSn12-C. The alloy can tolerate high loads and high sliding velocity, impact loading or pounding. For bearing applications good lubrication and alignment is essential and requires a minimum shaft hardness of 300HB.
